Where Did All the 2015 Meals Go?

Dear Supporter.

We are pleased to announce that you more than DOUBLED the amount of meals packed last year for a total of 217,728 meals! We also wanted to share the final destination of the meals you packed on March 29:

540 boxes-116,640 meals– went to Nicaragua through Feed My Starving Children’s partner Food for the Poor. This is the same organization that received our meals last year, and they are involved in a variety of programs. In Nicaragua specifically, they provide medical care through several clinics, they sponsor 22 orphanages and they also build housing units.

The remaining 468 boxes-101,088 meals– are going to Haiti, also through Food for the Poor. In addition to feeding in Haiti, Food for the Poor does a lot of construction and clean water initiatives. As of last year they had built 10,000 homes in Haiti.

Thank you so much for exceeding our meal packing goal AGAIN, and for doing your part to make a difference in so many lives. You are all superstars. Can we double again next year? We’ll need more help (2,000 volunteers) to pack the meals and more funds ($90,000) to pay for the ingredients and supplies. Please share your experience with others and encourage them to lend a hand next year! Our fundraising page will be up soon and will be linked to our website.
